Turbot has flakey white flesh and a subtle but rich flavor.
Fans of halibut can enjoy a similar eating experience with turbot.
It is an extremely versatile white fish, perfect for pan searing, grilling, baking and poaching. When it comes to cooking, try light sauces that don’t overwhelm the delicate flavour of the meat. Hollandaise and white wine sauces are recommended.
Nutrition wise, turbot is an excellent source of lean protein, essential omega-3 fatty acids, and various vitamins and minerals.
As a farmed fish, turbot is also an excellent sustainable choice.
