Taken from the cool, clean waters between Orkney and Scandinavia, this herring is both a delicious and nutritious food source.
Oil rich fish such as herring and salmon are high in long chain omega-3 polyunsaturates (or omega-3 fatty acids), which have been shown to help in maintaining a healthy heart. In fact, the current UK Government guidelines recommend that we should aim to eat two portions of fish a week with one portion being oily (high in omega-3 fatty acids).
