Amity Fish Company Appoints First Mate

Amity Fish Company has promoted a long-serving employee to a senior position.
 
Julie Coutts, who joined the seafood supply company in 2018, is appointed Operations Manager, reporting to MD Jimmy Buchan.           
 
One of the founding team members of the seafood supplier, Julie will be responsible for supporting daily operations and the growing Amity team, as well as maintaining her current role as Business Development Manager.
 
Since joining Amity Fish Company, Julie has played an important part in the evolution of the business and helped shape it into what is has become today.
 
Amity Fish Company MD, Jimmy Buchan, said: “Julie has been instrumental in developing the business and its internal structure to date and now is the perfect time for her to take on this additional role to focus the business’ e- commerce growth, as well as make preparation for the return of the food service sector when it reopens. It has been a difficult period for all in food service and we must be ready and focused to provide a limited supply prior to scaling up when it re-opens.“

Of her new role within the business, Julie said: “I look forward to the challenges 2021 will bring! Every day in Amity is different for me and over the last year, I’ve learned that the more adaptable to change and being open to every presented opportunity we are, the more successful we have been. Amity is growing at pace and it is exciting for me as this role as evolved also to be recruiting locally to add to our crew!”
