March 2022
Peterhead Seafood Supplier Amity is named Digital Ecommerce Business of the Year in National Cross Industry Awards
Amity Fish Company are delighted to be awarded Digital / Ecommerce Business of the Year at last week’s FSB (Federation of Small Business) Scottish Awards.
The award-winning Scottish seafood supplier, based in Peterhead, Aberdeenshire, had been shortlisted for Microbusiness of the Year and Digital / Ecommerce Business of the Year, claiming the latter title during a fantastic awards ceremony at Edinburgh’s Waldorf Astoria that saw a handful Northeast Businesses shortlisted and taking home prizes on the day.
Also representing the North-East across the categories were Aberdam, Appetite for Business, HR Hub Plus and Riverside Chiropractors.
Reflecting on taking home an award, Amity Managing Director Jimmy Buchan who was in attendance to accept the award, expressed his delight, saying: “We just landed a big catch!”
“This is the result of a dedicated and hard-working team working together. We are thrilled to be shortlisted, never mind winners.”

Amity’s double-nomination and eventual win follows a successful 2021 for the seafood supplier, following a Great Taste Star award for their exclusive Panko Single Wholetail Scampi product and attention from both HRH Duke of Rothesay and COP 26 for Amity’s efforts in sourcing sustainable seafood for homes and businesses across the UK.

All winners are automatically shortlisted for the UK final, so Amity now excitedly await the awards ceremony which takes place May 19th at the Radisson Blu Hotel Glasow. All the best to all fellow finalists!
