The Peterhead Seafood Supplier are shortlisted in four categories
Awards put spotlight on region’s industry-leading food and drink manufacturers
Amity Fish Company are delighted to be named finalists in four of the 12 categories at this year’s Northeast Scotland Food & Drink Awards, where the achievements of the region’s innovative food and drink producers are set to be recognised after a 2-year hiatus.
The award-winning Scottish seafood supplier, based in Peterhead, Aberdeenshire is up for Business Growth, Ecommerce Success, Operational Excellence and Best New Product (Small Business) for their Panko Queenie Scallops – alongside a host of well-known food and drink producers from the region.
In total almost 30 businesses have been shortlisted for the awards which celebrate excellence and innovation from small start-ups to giants of the industry.
Reflecting on the news, Amity Managing Director Jimmy Buchan expressed his surprise and delight, saying:
“Being shortlisted in 4 categories at these prestigious awards is humbling yet proud moment for our dedicated and hardworking team. None of this could happen without them. We are really looking forward to fantastic evening celebrating some of the best food and drink from the region – huge congrats to our fellow finalists.”
Delivered by Opportunity North East (ONE) in partnership with Aberdeenshire Council, the Awards are open to all food and drink producers in Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and Moray – which together account for more than 20% of Scotland’s sector output (excluding whisky) and employ more than 22,000 people.
The NES Awards take place 9th June at Aberdeen’s Chester Hotel.
